Alongside Emmy-award winning director Jeff Orlowski-Yang (The Social Dilemma, Chasing Coral, Chasing Ice), Sarah co-directed Chasing Time (2024), a meditative exploration of time and mortality that follows photographer James Balog as he brings the 15-year Extreme Ice Survey project to a close. In 2026, the film was OSCARS® Shortlisted for Documentary Short Film and received two News & Documentary Emmy® Awards nominations for Outstanding Short Documentary and Outstanding Music Composition.
Having entered filmmaking without formal training, Keo’s career began with an unwavering curiosity about the human experience. Her collaboration with Jeff on Chasing Time became both a mentorship and a creative partnership, blending visual poetry with an intimate emotional lens.
Driven by a commitment to ethical storytelling and cultural representation, Keo’s work bridges the personal and the universal, capturing the quiet beauty in how people endure, adapt, and connect across borders and generations. She continues to develop projects rooted in identity, nature, and the unseen emotional landscapes that shape us.
Sarah is currently located in Denver, where she works as a Producer for the Colorado-based social impact film company, Exposure Labs. She was a 2024 Cine Fe fellow.
